Injured Tennessee forward Maymon to redshirt

Tennessee forward Jeronne Maymon will redshirt the 2012-2013 season, the school announced Sunday.
The senior, who has not practiced this season because of a left knee injury, will return for a fifth year, according to a press release.
Maymon led the Volunteers with 8.1 rebounds per game and had nine double-doubles last season.
“I have confidence in these coaches and our medical staff,” Maymon said. “I see this injury as a blessing in disguise.”
Tennessee is 8-4 this season, most recently losing to Memphis in Knoxville.
