Is Dirk Nowitzki’s Knee Getting Better?

“In the next couple days, we’ll know where we’re at,” coach Rick Carlisle said. “At this point, he seems to be doing well. But I can only comment so much, because I’m not a doctor.”

Nowitzki has said that having an arthroscopic procedure to see what’s causing the inflammation in his knee is a possibility. If it comes to that, he said he would rather have it done sooner rather than later so he wouldn’t have to miss much, or maybe not any, of the regular season.

If the swelling does not return in the next few days, it’s possible Nowitzki could be in the clear. Only time will tell.

As he left the court, Nowitzki said that everything was feeling good, but he did not want to get into a daily update on his condition.
