Is Zach Randolph’s Knee Injury Serious?
Doctors used magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to further examine forward Zach Randolph’s bruised right knee Tuesday but the results remained a mystery Tuesday night.
Team officials said the results were still being evaluated and Randolph’s condition will be confirmed today. The belief going into the MRI was that Randolph suffered a bruised medial collateral ligament. That usually is nothing serious if the prognosis holds true.
But the extended evaluation of MRI results could mean Randolph’s injury is more serious. An MCL bruise can sometimes indicate a tear or fracture.
