Loquacious and accommodating with fans and the media, (Jamal) Crawford sat down for a recent Q&A session:

TRIBUNE: You can opt out of the contract that would pay you $5.225 million next season in the final year of your deal. Will you exercise the option?

CRAWFORD: I honestly don’t know. But if I do opt out, it doesn’t mean I want to leave Portland. It just means I want long-term security instead of playing on a one-year deal.

TRIBUNE: How would you describe how your season has gone personally?

CRAWFORD: (Long pause) I’m trying to find the right words … it’s been … it’s been … I guess just another chapter in my story.
