Jeff Green Glad to be Playing Again
Green, coming off heart surgery that cost him the 2011-12 season, has been a big part of Rivers’ plan, whether as part of a small lineup or in a more traditional set. Last night, he had 10 of his 12 points in the second quarter, five of them in a 41-second span on a driving windmill dunk and a 3-point jumper on the ensuing possession.
Asked if the jam was among his best, Green grinned and said, “I don’t know. It’s a long list.
“But it felt good to do that. I mean, after all I’ve been through, man, it feels good just to be on the court and especially to do something like that — and, you know, just show people I still got it. It felt good.”
