Justin Timberlake investing in Grizzlies

What would a pursuit of a sports franchise be without some star power?

Magic Johnson with the Dodgers. Jay-Z with the Nets. Phil Mickelson with the Padres. Gloria Estefan and Jimmy Buffett with the Dolphins.

Now you can add Justin Timberlake of the Grizzlies.

Kyle Veazy of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports that the entertainment star will become a minority shareholder in Robert Pera‘s syndicate to purchase the NBA team.

The 31-year-old Timberlake grew up near Memphis and is an avid sports fan. He is a low-handicap golfer, who hosts his own golf tournament. He has hosted the 2008 ESPY Awards.
