Kansas G Taylor expected to miss 3 weeks

Kansas guard Tyshawn Taylor is expected to be sidelined with a torn meniscus and sprained medial collateral ligament.

Taylor was injured in practice earlier this week, but play in Saturday’s win over No. 2 Ohio State, scoring nine points and handing out 13 assists.

Jayhawks coach Bill Self said team doctors told him that Thomas wouldn’t do any additional damage to the knee by playing Saturday.

Taylor is scheduled to undergo surgery Sunday and will not be available until Kansas opens it Big 12 Conference slate.
