Kendall Marshall talks video game rating
By Reid Cherner, USA TODAY
Intelligent people can debate the merits of whether Kendall Marshall will be a superstar in the NBA. But there is no debate that he’s already an All-Star interview.
Marshall, on his way to becoming a Twitter legend, recently talked with Dylan Murphy of Dime Magazine and showed his grasp of the NBA.
But more importantly he showed a sense of levity, something sorely missing in many athlete interviews.
Asked about his rating in NBA 2K13, the Carolina point guard said “I am, definitely worried about it. In college I played for Twitter followers. I played well so I could get more followers. In the NBA, I gotta get my rating up. That’s all I’m worried about.”
He’s hoping for a 70 rating but warns game makers that “my passing better be at least a 95.”
Marshall says he was an inveterate Angry Bird player but “there were two parts of the game where I couldn’t get three stars, so I really just stopped playing because it was too frustrating.”
