Kirk Hinrich Not Opposed to Bulls Return

Ever since the July 8, 2010, day the Bulls traded Kirk Hinrich essentially for extra salary-cap space to pursue the greatest free-agent class in NBA history, a segment of the fan base has clamored for his return.

Hinrich, who still spends offseasons in the north suburban home he kept, will be an unrestricted free agent this summer for the first time in his nine-year career. So what about a Bulls return?

“I wouldn’t be opposed to it,” Hinrich said. “It’s still a ways away, and a lot can happen. We’ll see. I have no preconceived thoughts on what will happen.”
