Klay Thompson Impressing Warriors
“I love the edge,” Warriors coach Mark Jackson said. “He walks around as if he’s the baddest dude in the gym no matter whether he makes or misses the shot. He’s a silent assassin.”
The mounting evidence is that the Warriors made a shrewd choice when they selected Thompson with the 11th pick of last June’s draft.
The 6-foot-7 guard has become a growing part of the Warriors’ rotation over the last six games, averaging 11.5 points in 18.5 minutes of court time. Even though he went just 2 for 8 against the Trail Blazers, he’s still shooting 56.8 percent from the field and a sizzling 62.5 percent from beyond the 3-point arc during this stretch.
