New York Knicks superstar forward Carmelo Anthony will sit out Friday’s matchup against the Miami Heat due to multiple injuries.

Anthony will also miss Saturday’s game against Houston to allow thumb, wrist and ankle injuries to heal.

He could return for Tuesday’s home game against Detroit, according to Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni.

Anthony scored only one point in Tuesday’s win at Charlotte – New York’s only victory in the last eight games.

He had 15 points on 5-of-14 shooting in a 91-81 loss at Cleveland on Wednesday night.

Anthony is averaging 23.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.3 assists this season.
