Knicks G Lin inks endorsement deal with Volvo

New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin finalized an endorsement deal with automaker Volvo on Monday that will focus on markers in the U.S. and China.Financial details weren’t disclosed.Lin has been named a “brand ambassador” for the next two years and will be part of the company’s corporate and marketing activities.The 23-year-old fits in with the car maker’s new brand strategy that uses the slogan “Designed Around You,” said senior vice president of Volvo Freeman Shen.”You may not immediately see the connection between me and Volvo. But both of us are striving to be better and smarter at what we do, and to do it our own way,” Lin said in a statement.Lin also has a deal with Nike. The shoe maker is planning a Lin-themed sneaker.The Harvard graduate is averaging 14.7 points and 6.3 assists in 31 games this season.
