Knicks PG Lin to sit out third straight game
New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin will sit out his third straight game Friday against Atlanta Hawks.
Lin has been bothered by a sore knee and was sidelined for victories over Milwaukee and Orlando this week.
Although Linsanity has died down in Manhattan, Lin has scored in 22 of 25 games since he was inserted into the starting lineup.
He is averaging 14.6 points and 6.1 points for the Knicks, who hold a 2 1/2-game lead over Milwaukee for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
