Kobe Bryant Breaks All-Star Record, Nose
Kobe Bryant walked quickly out of the Amway Center’s visiting locker room late Sunday, surrounded by his entourage. After making his way to the arena’s loading dock and climbing into a black Escalade, Bryant gently leaned his head back and closed his eyes. Within moments, the SUV was gone, Bryant leaving without so much of a word after a record-setting – albeit painful – night helping the West win the All-Star game.
Bryant scored 27 points to push his All-Star career total to 271 and break Michael Jordan’s NBA record, but he also broke his nose courtesy of a hard foul from Dwyane Wade. The Lakers announced the injury more than three hours after the game and said Bryant will visit a doctor in Los Angeles on Monday.
