Kobe ‘could’ consider playing overseas
Kobe Bryant still has not ruled playing overseas should the NBA lockout continue to drag on.
While coaching a youth basketball clinic in Singapore, Bryant told the Associated Press that he “could” consider the possibility of playing outside the U.S. if the 2011-12 NBA campaign is locked out.
Bryant has reportedly been in talks with Turkish club Bestiktas about the possibility of the Los Angeles Lakers star joining the team. At least one team in China has also expressed interest in the services of Bryant, a five-time NBA champion and 13-time All-Star.
Bryant averaged 25.3 points and 5.1 rebounds last season.
