UK’s Davis Says Knee ‘About 90 percent’
After the scare Kentucky’s Anthony Davis gave everyone in the NCAA Tournament South Region final against Baylor — particularly his teammates, coaches and Big Blue Nation — the All-American center said Thursday that his knee is “about 90 percent” healthy entering the 2012 NCAA Final Four.
Davis was injured when he collided with Baylor star Perry Jones III early in the second half of their game Sunday. Davis stayed down on the court holding his left knee and writhing in pain but eventually limped to the bench and, after being examined and briefly treated on the bench, returned to finish out the Wildcats’ 82-70 victory.
