The Los Angeles Lakers today assigned rookie center Robert Sacre to the Los Angeles D-Fenders, the Lakers’ NBA Development League affiliate.  The assignment is the second for Sacre and the 19^th of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons.

Sacre (7-0, 260, Gonzaga) has appeared in eight games for the Lakers this season, scoring two points and grabbing two rebounds in 19 minutes.  Selected in the second round (60^th overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft, Sacre finished his career as  a Bulldog averaging 9.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 21.8 minutes in 135 NCAA games.  For his efforts, he was named All-WCC Defensive Player of the Year in 2012.

Sacre is expected to join the D-Fenders today and be available tonight when the team hosts the Idaho Stampede.
