Lakers Assign Robert Sacre to D-League

The Los Angeles Lakers today assigned rookie center Robert Sacre to the Los Angeles D-Fenders, the Lakers’ NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the second for Sacre and the 19th of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons.
Sacre (7-0, 260, Gonzaga) has appeared in eight games for the Lakers this season, scoring two points and grabbing two rebounds in 19 minutes. Selected in the second round (60th overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft, Sacre finished his career as a Bulldog averaging 9.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 21.8 minutes in 135 NCAA games. For his efforts, he was named All-WCC Defensive Player of the Year in 2012.
Sacre is expected to join the D-Fenders today and be available tonight when the team hosts the Idaho Stampede.
