Smith, he says that Los Angeles was thinking of bringing in Iverson to give the roster some depth at point guard. The Lakers were also considering former Toronto Raptors guard Rafer Alston as an option in the backcourt.Iverson hasn’t played in the NBA since 2009-10 season, playing just 28 games for the Phiadelphia 76ers and Memphis Grizzlies that year.
