Lakers’ Howard Game-Time Decision to Play
Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard flew out of Los Angeles at noon PT Saturday after undergoing platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy on his ailing right shoulder in the morning.
He will be re-evaluated by Lakers trainer Gary Vitti at the team’s hotel in Detroit on Saturday night and be a game-time decision when the Lakers play the Pistons on Sunday.
“I’m not counting (on Howard playing), but I hope,” Lakers Head Coach Mike D’Antoni said. “It’s just a matter if there’s pain, he won’t play. If the pain has lessened a lot, then I think he’ll play.”
