Lakers ‘pooped their big boy pants’ vs. Rockets

Kobe Bryant is usually the one to make people eat their words (See mostly anything Shaquille O’Neal has said about Bryant).
But on Tuesday night, Bryant got a taste of his own medicine.
Bryant told Pau Gasol to put on his “big-boy pants” and “adjust” on Sunday as the star-laden Lakers are trying to get back on track under new coach Mike D’Antoni.
Bryant’s quote quickly went viral and Houston Rockets radio announcer Craig Ackerman had quite possibly the call of the year with his play on words in the Rockets’ 107-105 win over the Lakers on Tuesday. Los Angeles let a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter slip away.
Bryant unsurprisingly got the last shot with his team trailing and failed to convert a three-pointer with seconds winding down on the clock.
Then Ackerman brilliantly chimed in:
“The game is over! The game is over! The Lakers have just pooped their big boy pants and the Rockets have come from 17 down to win 107-105.”
Let’s thank Ackerman for a nice salt-to-the-wound quote for the 8-10 Lakers.
