Lamar Odom May Skip Olympics
Lamar Odom was recently announced as the newest Los Angeles Clipper.
Talking with reporters after the game, Odom indicated he isn’t sure if he’ll join Team USA in Las Vegas in preparation for the Olympics.
Odom said it may be best to spend time with the Clippers getting ready for October. He noted he’ll be judged by his play with the Clippers, not by how well he played in the Olympics. After a down year with the Dallas Mavericks, Odom wants to make sure he’s able to prove last season was an anomaly.
Lamar also noted that he hasn’t made up his mind yet. Team USA is still a possibility and it’s an issue he’ll discuss at length with his representatives.
Fellow Clippers Chris Paul and Blake Griffin are scheduled to join the team in Las Vegas.
Team USA is in need of size with LaMarcus Aldridge recovering from injury, Chris Bosh bowing out and now New Orleans #1 pick Anthony Davis suffering a sprained ankle.
