It sounds like Ty Lawson and the Denver Nuggets have reached an agreement on a four-year contract extension.

On Tuesday afternoon, the 24-year-old point guard tweeted: “It Looks like im going to be a nugget for another 4 yrs..Thanks to the Kronke family, Masai, nuggets fans and everybody 4 believing In me.”

Terms of the deal have not been released, but reports indicate that the new deal will pay Lawson $48 million over four years. The two sides had until Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET to finalize an extension.

Lawson will be the first point guard from the 2009 class, which includes Tyreke Evans, Stephen Curry, Brandon Jennings and Jrue Holiday among others, to sign an extension.
