(Rashard) Lewis sat out the Wizards’ 93-72 loss to Minnesota on Sunday with what the team said was a sore right knee, but CSNWashington reported that Lewis decided not to play after getting into an argument with (Sam) Cassell before the game. Lewis denied that there was a dispute – or that any spat would ever keep him from playing in a game. When asked about the report, Coach Flip Saunders said simply, “That’s not true.”

“The only reason I didn’t play was because my knee was sore,” Lewis said. “No argument. No argument at all. I don’t know what’s going on. Maybe because we haven’t won a game yet somebody is trying to make up stories, I guess. Point the finger at somebody. I don’t know.”
