Lin, Anthony propel Knicks past Hawks
Jeremy Lin and Carmelo Anthony looked plenty comfortable together, combining for 32 points and 12 assists, as the New York Knicks bounced back posting a 99-82 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.
Lin led the way with 17 points and nine assists and Anthony poured in 15 points in 27 minutes for the Knicks, who climbed back to .500 at 17-17.
New York took over early, ending the first quarter with a 16-0 burst and never looking back. The Knicks were out front, 60-35, at the break and pushed the lead to 30 points early in the third when Lin grabbed an offensive rebound and found Anthony for a 3-pointer.
The Knicks spread the points around, getting 16 from Landy Fields, 17 from Steve Novak and 12 from J.R. Smith as the bench took over in the final quarter.
