Lin Has No Regrets; Says He’s ‘Exposed’
Jeremy Lin says he has no regrets about the Knicks decision not to match his $25M contract offer in July, indicating it was “God’s plan’’ for him to wind up in Houston.
“The biggest thing is I enjoyed playing for the fans,’’ Lin said after Thursday’s practice. “I had a lot of peace about it when it happened. I know God has a perfect plan. And he’s shown that in my life. It didn’t shake out the way everybody thought it would. But I’m still very at peace with how everything happened. I’m in a great situation right now.’’
The undrafted point guard out of Harvard admitted he doesn’t have the explosiveness he showed last season when he authored the Linsanity saga that swept the globe.
“I’ve been exposed a lot early on in the season and have a lot to work on,’’ Lin said. “I’m young. I’ve started 30-something games my entire career. It’s something I have to keep in mind.”
