Conference realignment is (unfortunately) not quite over yet.

The latest mover? Loyola (Md.), who is leaving the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference to become the 10th full member of the Patriot League starting with the 2013-14 academic year.

“It is an honor to join the Patriot League’s distinguished member institutions, all of which consistently demonstrate a profound commitment to excellence both in the classroom and on the field, said Rev. Brian F. Linnane, S.J., Loyola’s president, in a statement. “That commitment is one we share at Loyola, and we see this move as a vital opportunity to continue to elevate our already outstanding athletics programs in keeping with our goal of becoming the nation’s leading Catholic, comprehensive university.”

All of Loyola’s Division I teams will make the move to the Patriot League (with the exception of rowing).

For those trying to keep track at home, here’s the list of schools that will be in the Patriot League as full members next season: American, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh, Navy, Army and Boston University.
