LSU introduced Johnny Jones as the new head basketball coach on Monday.

Jones, a former player and assistant coach at the school, takes over for Trent Johnson, who left for the same position at TCU.

Jones spent the past 11 seasons coaching at North Texas, compiling a 190-146 record and a pair of Sun Belt tournament titles.

LSU went 18-15 overall and finished eighth in the SEC under Johnson last season.
