Howard rips team in lopsided loss to Hornets
Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard let his frustration boil over during Friday’s lopsided loss to the New Orleans Hornets.
“I look at guys and they don’t look like they want to play,” Howard said. “I told them at halftime, ‘If you don’t want to play, just stay in the locker room, because it don’t make sense for a team who we should beat to just demolish us.’”
Howard had 28 points and 16 rebounds, but the rest of the Magic struggled en route to their third loss in four games.
Howard, who has openly requested a trade from the team, has averaged 19.9 points and 15.6 rebounds this season.
