Magic Reach Deal with Rookie O’Quinn
Many of the scouts, coaches and agents who attended last month’s AirTran Airways Pro Summer League at Amway Center raved about the Orlando Magic’s second-round pick, 6-foot-10 big man Kyle O’Quinn.
On Wednesday, the Magic showed they were impressed, too.
The Magic and O’Quinn agreed to a three-year contract that the team is expected to announce Thursday.
“It’s pretty emotional,” O’Quinn told the Orlando Sentinel on Wednesday night. “It’s kind of like the final stage to all the work you’ve put in. It’s another big day.”
