(Marc) Gasol seemed genuinely moved to have played in the game, and to have been part of what has been a truly special Spanish team.
Gasol wouldn’t say whether he would be in Rio, but this is almost certainly the last Olympics for Pau Gasol and Juan Carlos Navarro.
“We had a lot of unique players who had their last Olympics and they’re irreplaceable,” he said. “There will never be another Navarro, there will never be another Pau, it’s just impossible. There’s a mix of talent and personality that is just unique.”
