MarShon Brooks ‘Not Nervous’ About Trade
MarShon Brooks seemed caught off guard by the question:
Are you nervous about the upcoming trade deadline?
“Should I be?” the Nets guard asked innocently.
Well, yes, he should. The NBA trade deadline is Thursday. The Nets, as everyone knows, are trying to acquire Orlando’s Dwight Howard, and though they could wait till the summer to try to sign Howard as a free agent, Nets GM Billy King will certainly take Orlando GM Otis Smith’s phone call if the Magic decide to trade Howard this week
“Nah, I actually just bought a couch,” Brooks said when asked about the possibility of being traded. “I think I’ll be around, but who knows? Seriously, I’m not nervous.
“I’ve never been that guy,” he added. “I just go out and play and do my job. I haven’t been doing the best, so I don’t need any extra on my mind.”
