Was Dallas on your radar as a possible trade destination?

Collison: To be honest, I was a little bit surprised. I didn’t hear my name in trade rumors. I had a little bit of mixed emotions, too. I’m in a great situation right now.

How can he (Dirk Nowitzki) contribute?

Collison: I’m going to play my game. They brought me over here for a reason. I can definitely use my speed and quickness. When J.J. Barea was over here, he used the pick and roll with Dirk Nowitzki at his best. Same thing with Jason Terry. There’s no reason why I can’t use my quickness to do the same. But at the same time, I definitely want to make an impact on the defensive end. I definitely want to lift our defensive energy up and try to be the head of the snake.
