Mavs’ Shawn Marion Joins Elite Club
Shawn Marion is at the point in his career when milestones start to happen regularly, but they pale in comparison to winning games.
On Tuesday night, the 14-year veteran went over the 16,000-point mark for his career with his third point against Philadelphia. He surpassed 9,000 rebounds last week.
Marion, in his fourth season with the Mavericks, is one of only five players in NBA history with at least 1,500 steals and 1,000 blocks, joining Hakeem Olajuwon, Karl Malone, Julius Erving and Kevin Garnett.
