Mavs trade Zeller to Cavs.

Tyler Zeller, the North Carolina center taken by the Dallas Mavericks with the No. 17 pick of the firsy round, has been traded along with Kelenna Azubuike i to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for the Nos. 24, 33 and 34 overall picks in Thursday’s draft, ESPN reported.

The 7-foot Zeller played all four years of college ball, and averaged 16.3 points and 9.6 rebounds as a senior. He was the Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year.

Picking for Dallas at No. 24, Cleveland drafted Jared Cunningham, a shooting guard out of Oregon State. Florida State center Bernard James went at No. 33, and Marquette’s Jae Crowder went 34th, and they will go to Dallas, too.
