Memphis Grizzlies’ ‘Zoo Crew’ No Fluke?
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the defending-champion Miami Heat on Sunday 104-86. They won because — are you ready for this? — they hit everything from the outside.
They hit 14 3-pointers. (Wayne) Ellington had seven all by himself.
The Grizzlies have gotten five straight superb performances from their bench, and it doesn’t seem to be a fluke.
“I think everyone sees it,” said (Jerryd) Bayless. “We’ve got a little thing going.”
At which point, Ellington revealed that the second group had already given itself a nickname.
“The Zoo Crew,” he said. “Me and Mo just kind of made it up.”
