Metta World Peace’s elbow to the Denver Nuggets’ Kenneth Faried in the Los Angeles Lakers’ game on Monday has been upgraded to a flagrant foul 2, according to NBA spokesman Tim Frank.

The play occurred as the third quarter ended in the Lakers’ 119-108 loss. World Peace seemed to connect his left elbow with Faried’s head as both players went for a rebound after the Nuggets’ Corey Brewermissed a shot from the corner.

No foul was called at the time.
