Heat streak hits 25 with another comeback

The first half is irrelevant. The Miami Heat will win.

The Heat trailed by 11 in the second quarter Friday night against the Detroit Pistons but brushed the deficit off quickly and won 103-89. The victory moves their winning streak to 25 games, eight back of the record set by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers.

LeBron James had 29 points, eight rebounds and eight assists as the Heat won their 16th consecutive home game. Dwyane Wade added 19 points in a balanced effort that made the victory easy despite five points and six rebounds from All-Star center Chris Bosh.

This is getting too easy for the Heat. In this one, it was the defense that clamped down and held the Pistons to 5-for-19 shooting in the third quarter, when they grabbed the lead. Pistons point guard Jose Calderon had 16 points and six assists in the first half, two and one in the second.
