Miami senior big man Julian Gamble suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and could miss the 2011-12 campaign.

Gamble averaged 3.8 points and 4.0 rebounds last season while starting 13 games.

It is the second injury to a Hurricanes’ frontcourt player this offseason. Center Reggie Johnson previously had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee and may be out until January.
