Michael Jordan’s son leaves Central Florida

Jeffery Jordan, son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, has left the Central Florida basketball program. Jordan abruptly left UCF this past week, according to a news release from the school Saturday. Central Florida did not indicate why Jordan had left, but he sited “personal reasons” for his decision.”We wish Jeff nothing but the best in the future,” UCF head coach Donnie Jones said in the release. “We appreciate his contributions to our program and he will always be a member of the UCF basketball family.”Jordan played three years at Illinois before transferring to UCF, having to sit out all of last season due to NCAA transfer rules. He was averaging 2.7 points and 1.8 assists for the Knights this season.Jordan’s younger brother Marcus remains with the program. He scored 12 points in the Knights’ 81-63 victory over East Carolina Saturday.
