Four months after his surgeries, (Mike) Miller is back on the court and working on his game. Last weekend, he played in Dwight Howard’s charity basketball game in Orlando and didn’t experience any pain.

“It felt good,” Miller told HOOPSWORLD. “It’s good to get out there and play a little bit. I felt fine.”

It was Miller’s first game since Miami’s disappointing loss in the Finals. The lockout has forced the Heat to have a bad taste in their mouth longer than usual, and Miller can’t wait to resume playing.

Now, all Miller can do is work out and make sure he’s ready for next year. The Heat hasn’t worked out as a team since the lockout commenced, but Miller believes that’ll change a new collective bargaining agreement is within reach.

“I’m just staying in shape so that I’m ready to knock down shots when I get my chance,” Miller said. “I’m just doing all of the same stuff that I’ve been doing for the last 12 years. We’re not working out as a team right now, but we will soon. The closer we get to a new deal, the more amped up we’ll get.”
