Hi,I’m superfan of AI,Do you think he will return to the NBA?
He has said in June he wants to return and wants to help any team.
I think AI should return to NBA and retiring as he deserves,a hall of fame
Thanks.
Susan Bible
The things we saw AI do on the court were nothing short of amazing. I always liked him: I read a book/biography about him last year, and learned things about him I didn’t know, and was reminded what an outstanding college player he was, too. Check his NBA career stats: 26.7 ppg, 6.2 apg, 2.2 spg, 3.7 rpg, 9.3 FG, .425 FG%, .780 FT%, 1.2 threes, and averaged 41.1 minutes in 914 games. He’s an eleven-time All-Star (with two All-Star MVP titles), an MVP and a four-time scoring title holder. If he doesn’t land in the Hall of Fame, I’d be shocked.
He’s 36 now and is talking about another go at the NBA. In fact, he’s pretty much announced his availability, hoping a team will take a chance. Kennedy tweeted this on Sept 12th: “Allen Iverson is eyeing an NBA comeback. He’s reaching out to top trainers and vowing to work hard. We’ll see if any team gives him a shot.” Indeed, we’ll have to see what happens there.

Hey Susan, who wins and who loses in this trade? LAC gets Danny Granger and Kirk Hinrich, ATL gets Chris Kaman and Mo Williams, and IND gets Josh Smith.
Susan Bible
Indiana wins, Hawks lose (mainly by taking a risk on injury-prone Kaman – he’s played 75% of possible games in eight seasons, and 59% in the past four years). You’ve got to read this…great Smith/trade breakdown: http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba-pm-the-best-josh-smith-trade/

Do you see Devin Harris going to the Lakers?
Susan Bible
You know, the more I think about it, the more I like it. I don’t know if he’s really on their radar, but something’s got to be put in place at that position. Harris has skills they need in a point guard, i.e. speed, defense. I can see a trade being put together. Perhaps involving Blake and Metta? (Is that what we call him now?)
end lockout!
why do you think westbrook hasn’t been involved with the summer leagues and how do you think harden will progress this season (fingers crossed)
Susan Bible
Westbrook spent the summer back home in California, focused on trying to get his degree. He enrolled at UCLA (along with his friend Kevin Love and others) taking History and Philosophy. He says he’ll take advantage of trying to graduate every summer. Kudos to him for that. He’s also working out hard and recently appeared in a charity video game event.
Alex Kennedy of HOOPSWORLD reported a couple days ago that members of the Thunder have organized a mini-camp this week. Scheduled to attend are: Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Nick Collison, Nazr Mohammed, Eric Maynor, Royal Ivey, Cole Aldrich, Daequan Cook and rookie Reggie Jackson. Not sure why Kendrick Perkins won’t be there. Serge Ibaka is doing his thing at Eurobasket, Thabo Sefolosha is back home in Switzerland, Byron Mullen in is Greece.
Now for Harden, I think he’s primed for a breakout season. He really got the opportunity to show what he can do after the Jeff Green departure and, most definitely, in the playoffs. Whether he’s inserted in the starting lineup (surely) or remains the important sixth man, the just-turned-22-year-old will progress this season. Third-year jump, I’d say.

Who in your opinion was the best player in the nba in the 2010-2011 season?
Susan Bible
LeBron James.
Jono
Hey Susan,
Based on your knowledge what are some strengths and weaknesses each team has in the nba and what can each team improve on?
thanks
Susan Bible
Wow, you want me to break down 30 teams’ strengths and weaknesses and talk about what each team can improve on in a one-hour chat? (Plus answer all the other questions?) If I had super powers, I could do it. That’s like a major article there…or like 30 articles!

Hi Susan,
If the players agreed to the 52/53%. I would think that it is no longer an issue with the players, what am I missing?
Susan Bible
I understand the players proposed a drop from 57% to the 52/53 (talking basketball-related income here). Seems Stern and Holt supported that, but a couple owners later balked. That’s unfortunate. The other biggie is the soft/ hard cap issue.

Hey on my fantasy team, I have tight ends Aaron Hernandez and Owen Daniels. Who should I start?
Susan Bible
(This is an NBA chat, not NFL) Start Daniels. But don’t trust me.

Can my raptors please trade Bargnani. His D is so bad and his lack of rebounding is atrocious. Valanciunas and Ed Davis should be the future bigs of the raps. How about Bargs for Marvin Williams and a #1 pick or 2?
Susan Bible
I’m not giving up a 25-year-old seven-footer who can shoot (see Nowitzki) – Bargs posted 21.4 ppg at .448 FG%, .820 FT%, 1.2 in threes last season. Sure, his 5.2 rpg could be better, but I’m keeping him.

What about Grant Hill as a free agent signing
Susan Bible
With Oklahoma City? I think it could work, but he wants to finish out his career in Phoenix.
AnthonyK
What are your predictions on what the thunder are goona do to get better?
( as in free agency , trade talk)
Susan Bible
For my thoughts on that issue, please read my recent article: http://www.hoopsworld.com/solving-problems-kevin-durant-needs-a-backup
I’m on the Battier bandwagon for OKC.
Guys, that’s one hour. Thanks for participating, and I’ll see you again next week…
