NBA Power Rankings – Week 17

2/21/11 – All-Star Weekend is over, which can only mean it’s trade deadline time.  What’s there to write about once Carmelo Anthony is either traded or not to the New Jersey Nets and/or New York Knicks?  We’ll find something.  In the meantime, the top teams are still the top teams and the bottom teams keep losing.  It’s the Portland Trail Blazers that are intriguing as they continue to win despite injuries – as are the Memphis Grizzlies who will try to break the top eight without Rudy Gay for a while.  The New Orleans Hornets, Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz are all ripe for the picking.  Even the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors are thinking playoffs now.  The NBA, 17 weeks in . . .
