NBA suspends J.R. Smith for elbow

The NBA has suspended New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith without pay for Sunday’s game against the Celtics for his Flagrant 2 foul on Boston guard Jason Terry on Friday.
Smith committed the foul in New York’s 90-76 victory, connecting on an elbow to the face of Terry. Smith was ejected from the game with 7:06 remaining in the fourth quarter.
