Nets bounce back, beat Bulls at home

This time, Nate Robinson wasn’t enough to get it done. Two days after a 23-point fourth quarter from Robinson propelled the Chicago Bulls to a triple-overtime victory, they fell 110-91 to the Brooklyn Nets on the road.
With Kirk Hinrich sitting out with a calf injury, Robinson was moved into the starting lineup, where he scored 20 points. However, the shorthanded Bulls were unable to withstand hot scoring performances from Deron Williams and Brook Lopez as the Nets cut the Bulls’ series lead to 3-2 at the Barclays Center.
The Nets controlled the first half, opening a 52-44 lead over the Bulls through two quarters. They faltered in the third quarter as Robinson and Marco Belinelli keyed a Chicago run. Brooklyn trailed by four going into the final period, but pulled away in the fourth quarter, finishing the game on a 12-0 run.
The game was sealed with about two minutes remaining, when Nets forward Gerald Wallace hit a three-pointer followed by a steal and a dunk in transition.
Lopez and Williams both logged double-doubles. Lopez finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds, while Williams had 23 points and 10 assists.
The series returns to Chicago on Thursday, where the Bulls will attempt to close the door on the series. The winner of the series will play the Miami Heat in the second round of the playoffs.… [For more on Nets bounce back, beat shorthanded Bulls at home, click here.]
