The Brooklyn Nets already have a dedicated Internet troll.

Twenty-nine of the 30 NBA teams own the dot-com website based on their team nickname, from Bobcats.com to Wizards.com. But the Nets don’t. And the owner of Nets.com has a sense of humor.

In early October, a visit to Nets.com revealed a very strange website featuring an old photograph of Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban sticking out his tongue and a joke at the expense of Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov. Then it redirected to the Mavs’ ticket sales website, leading to speculation Cuban had bought the site, which Deadspin debunked.

Now, the site has a new twist: It redirects to the Knicks website, which displays an All-Star voting link.

Deadspin reports the site is owned by Cyber Mesa, a New Mexico-based telecommunications company. Perhaps the goal is to goad Prokhorov into buying the domain at a premium. Or maybe they’re bored with a domain name they have no use for.

Either way, it’s fun.
