New Jersey Nets point guard Deron Williams will not waive his early termination option and intends to opt out and become a free agent at the end of the season, according to the New York Daily News.“I’m not going to opt-in. It’s not monkey-see, monkey-do,” Williams said Friday in reference to Orlando Magic center Dwight’s Howard’s contract situation. “Wherever I go is hopefully where I’m going to retire.”Williams is averaging 22 points and 8.1 assists in 40 games for the Nets this season and should draw interest from many teams on the open market. The Nets are 15-29 and four-and-a-half games out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
