The Nets (16-15) dropped to 2-1 under P.J. Carlesimo, who had guided them to victories over the vulnerable Bobcats and Cavaliers. The Spurs (25-8) have won six straight.

The Nets have yet to contact Jackson about coaching the Nets, according to two sources familiar with the coaching search, but he remains at the top of their list. The job is a lot less appealing if they play like they did Monday.
