Nets Looking for PF in Offseason?

Now we’re certain Anthony Davis is not going to play power forward for the Nets next season. So who will?

There always is the chance Kris Humphries returns, but two names — both unrestricted free agents — have been on the periphery for months, the Celtics’ Kevin Garnett and the Bucks’ Ersan Ilyasova. Based on age — Garnett is 36, Ilyasova is 25 — the Bucks’ power forward seems to be the more logical target.

Both are under contract so no outside team can comment on either player, unless they want to forfeit their first-round draft choices until Year 2 of Jay Z Jr.’s reign as NBA commissioner. But Ilyasova, a high-energy guy, was considered one of the NBA’s most improved players, showing terrific advancement in the last 37 games when he averaged 16.2 points, 9.6 rebounds and shot 53.2 percent to finish the year at 13.0 ppg, 8.8 rpg (including 3.27 offensive rebounds in just 28 minutes per contest) with 49.2 percent shooting.
