Funny moment in New Jersey coach Avery Johnson’s pregame media availability: Some Nets have complained of late that the configuration of the Prudential Center (an arena built primarily for hockey) creates poor backgrounds for basketball shooters.

Johnson didn’t want to hear that excuse.

“They’ve played basketball outside, in the dark, in matchbox gyms. The basket is still 10 feet high,” Johnson replied. “I think they’re over-thinking things.”
