Nets shut down C Lopez

New Jersey Nets center Brook Lopez was shut down for the remainder of the season Friday.Lopez has suited up for just five games this season because of various injuries and averaged 19.2 points and 3.6 rebounds.The 24-year-old missed the first 32 contests after fracturing the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot in the preseason. After briefly returning, Lopez sprained his ankle and aggravated his previous foot injury, Before this season, Lopez had not missed a regular-season game in his first three years in the NBA.
